What does Spanish Immersion look like in first grade?
Students have two teachers Mrs. Stewart and Srta. Penuela
-Students spend half of their day with Ms. Jameson learning reading, writing and social studies
-Students spend the other half of their day with Srta. Penuela learning Spanish, math, and science.
Student switch classes daily
-Mrs. Stewart's homeroom start the morning off in room 2. They switch to Srta. Penuela after announcements each morning. They will have math science in the morning and language arts & social studies in the afternoons. They will dismiss from Mrs. Stewart's class everyday.
-Srta. Penuela's homeroom start the morning off in room 1.

We are family
Even though the immersion program is broken up into 2 homeroom classes. We consider all 50 students our priorities. We plan parties and activities together, share the same lunch and PE times, and act as a unit. Feel free to contact either of us if you have any questions regardless of your child's homeroom.
