Books are available to purchase by grade level, reading level, and interest. Many of the books are below retail prices! Every book purchased helps buy new books for our classroom. Read, Read, Read The most important thing you can do for your child's reading development is read with them daily. This can mean them reading to you, you reading to them, or them listening to a book read on a device. Giving students the opportunity to hear a fluent reader is just as important as them practicing their own reading. It shows them a model of proper fluent reading and helps develop their picture to text connections. It's also a great opportunity to have some quality time with your little one!
Sight word fun Mastery of sight words is one of the most important components of learning to read. 50-75% of all the words students will encounter in books, magazines, etc are on the 220 dolch sight word lists.
